Jackie Lovely, your UCP candidate for Camrose
Just like Saskatchewan’s former Premier Brad Wall, I was born and raised in a farming community in southern Saskatchewan. Brad always talked about how, because of 12 years of NDP government, an entire generation is missing from Saskatchewan because they had to leave to find work. This election is one of the most important in Alberta’s history because we cannot afford to have the same thing happen here with another NDP government. This is why I am running for the UCP. We have to take Alberta back both for ourselves and for our children and grandchildren.
In 1989, I moved to Alberta. Now I’m an empty-nester after having raised my son to be an engineer and my daughter to be a nurse. At 50, I returned to university to complete my MBA and for the past 21 years I have successfully operated our family business. I’m a volunteer ESL teacher and my family has hosted 56 international students. I also work with a non-profit organization that serves seniors.
I currently live in Camrose where I’m involved in the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary. When I door-knock, I meet so many people who unfortunately are just getting by. It’s time to renew the Alberta Advantage and get our economy back on track. I will fight to restore a free enterprise environment where businesses can succeed and thrive, seniors can live with confidence, and youth can receive the education they need to succeed.
